( Cl. Rebecca Northen 'Grapefruit Pink' x Morm. Mimi 'Wide Segments' )

Cl. Rebecca Northen (Grace Dunn x rosea) is a well-recognized plant and an important parent for breeding. It is easy to grow and has beautiful, frilly pink flowers with a marvelous citrus fragrance, produced on multiple pendent inflorescences.  Morm. Mimi (lawrenceana x ignea) is very floriferous, blooming with 2-3 upright inflorescences per bulb, each carrying 12-15 flowers in beautiful orange tones covered in fine burgundy spots. This cultivar also has very wide petals that give the blooms a fullness not often seen in Mormodes. These will flower late in the year with cascades of 12-15 flowers in shades of orange to pink. Mormodias make spectacular plants at maturity, producing lots of charming flowers that cascade over the sides of the pot.
